AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Jones Energy, Inc. (NYSE: JONE) (“Jones Energy” or “the Company”) today
announces that David Cape will join the Company on February 3, 2014 as
Vice President, Land and Business Development. Mr. Cape has over 30
years of experience in oil and gas land management and will report to
Mike McConnell, President.
Jonny Jones, Chairman and CEO, said, “We are excited for David to join

management experience will be a valuable asset as we continue to grow

Prior to joining Jones Energy, Mr. Cape was Vice President, Land for
Cypress E&P Corporation, a privately held exploration and production
company primarily focused on the Eagle Ford play. Mr. Cape has
previously held land management roles at Santos USA Corp., the US
subsidiary of a large, multinational Australian-based company, and Sonat
Exploration Company. He began his career at TXO Production Corp.
Mr. Cape currently serves as an Advisory Board Member of the North
American Prospect Expo (NAPE) and has served as President of the
American Association of Professional Landmen. Mr. Cape holds a B.B.A. in
Petroleum Land Management from the University of Oklahoma.
