Dennis Corkran has served as our Vice President Production, Operations, and HSE since joining the company in 2014. He has over 36 years of energy and petroleum experience. Prior to joining Jones Energy, Mr. Corkran founded an oil and gas company in 1996 which continued in operations through 2010 when he accepted a Drilling & Production Manager’s role with Red Willow Production Company. He started his career with Gulf Oil as a Production Engineer and subsequently transitioned to drilling and completions. Following his employment with Gulf Oil he served as Drilling Manager, Production Manager, and Vice President of Engineering and Operations for various independent oil and gas exploration and production companies. He has a variety of experience in numerous onshore basins spanning the lower 48 states. Mr. Corkran is a graduate of Texas A&M University, holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and is a long-standing member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
