Sr. Vice President – Acquisitions

Jody Crook currently holds the position of Senior Vice President – Acquisitions and has been with Jones Energy since 2004. Mr. Crook is among the fourth generation of his family to have a career in oil and gas and he has over 13 years of energy experience. Mr. Crook began his oil & gas experience as a summer roustabout for Texaco. He joined Enron in 2000 as an analyst in their Risk Management Group and also worked in their Global Markets & LNG group. Prior to joining Jones Energy, Mr. Crook most recently served as a Senior Landman for Southwestern Energy Production Company in Houston, Texas. Mr. Crook has held various roles with Jones Energy starting as Land Manager and was promoted to Vice President of Land. He has recently held roles overseeing the Arkoma Asset Group before moving to Acquisitions.

Mr. Crook serves on the Advisory Board for the Energy Management Program at the University of Oklahoma.

Mr. Crook graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BBA in Petroleum Land Management and Finance and a MBA from the University of Texas.
