Mark A. (Allen) Rainer joined Jones Energy in 2008 and has over 34 years of geoscience and exploration experience both domestic and international. He is responsible for all phases of the Cleveland Horizontal Resource Play. His extensive experience includes working in various geosciences driven areas. His early career included geology work for Jones Company Ltd and Enserch Exploration. Management positions included 11 years as VP of Exploration and Production for James K. Anderson; founding Allante Exploration Company and VP – Geology for Toreador Resources Corporation. Mark has had extensive work as a consulting geologist and most recently worked for Comstock Resources and Denbury Resources in 2007 to work on CO2 recovery projects. Mark is a member of numerous Geologic associations and societies and has held various leadership positions in AAPG and the Dallas Geological Society. He earned his BS Degree in Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 1974 and is currently a member of the Advisory Council School of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Oklahoma.
